Privacy Policy

The short version: ReelNotes doesn't collect your data, because there's almost nowhere for it to go. There's no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you save lives in the app's local storage on your device.
When you share a reel or post into ReelNotes, it stores the following on your device only, using Apple's on-device SwiftData storage:
None of this leaves your device unless you move it — for example, by backing up your phone through Apple's own iCloud or iTunes backup, which is standard iOS behavior for every app and outside ReelNotes' control.
ReelNotes' category sorting runs entirely on-device. The one exception: if the app's developer has configured an optional caption lookup, ReelNotes sends the URL of the post you just shared to Meta's public oEmbed endpoint (graph.facebook.com) to retrieve its caption, so the on-device sorter has real text to work with instead of a bare link. This only happens for links you actively share in — not in the background, not for anything else on your device. That request is subject to Meta's own privacy policy for the duration of the request itself; ReelNotes does not store, log, or forward the response anywhere beyond saving the caption text into your local library as described above.
ReelNotes is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, beyond what's described above.
If anything here changes — for instance, if a future version adds an optional feature that touches the network — this page will be updated first, with the date above reflecting the most recent revision.
